You are Useless

Yesterday was one of them days at SCA where I left feeling useless.Yesterday was one of them days at SCA where I left feeling motivated like never before. The day started with Ross Bailey showing us the business he built that makes peoples dreams possible. Then finished with mentor god Brian, who told us that we should all tie some rope around our necks and jump off a chair for not making the most of our lives. He was right. My motivation for everything I do is to have an impact on as many peoples lives as possible. This is why I love advertising. You aren’t just sitting behind a desk getting a paycheque, you are getting your work in front of millions of people and hopefully making their day better in some way.But what I would love more than anything is to have a startup. To be able to have an impact on millions of people and change their lives. This is why Ross’s talk was so inspiring. It wasn’t his dashing looks, the millions of pounds of investment or the global reach his company will soon have.It was a something he received from someone who used his business. It basically said ‘you’ve changed my life forever, thanks’.You can’t get better than that.Your little idea has not only transformed your life but is now changing others. That is what gets me out of the bed in the morning. That is what makes me feel shit/angry/disappointed about not having managed it yet. That is something I will achieve in the next year.
