Just Some Notes

I want to have a little conversation about reality. And I want to aim this conversation at the people who look like me,talk like me, and also those who don’t.
Just so we can see where we meet in the middle. You know, see where we all relate.
Because in reality, we do.

“With great power comes great responsibility.”

I heard that a lot growing up.
Honestly, I think it was from my daily dose of Power Rangers.Zordon had a lot to say.

Anyway, I always used to wonder,
what does that actually mean to me?Without power, am I not responsible?Without a voice, does that mean no one will listen?

I had all these ideas of being great, and then reality hit me.
I’ve always been great.
I have a voice.
I have the power and the responsibility,
the great responsibility of becoming the best version of me.

The real power is understanding the rule of three:
the good, the bad, the ugly.
Time, balance, perspective.
Me, myself, and I.
Basic alchemy.

Listen, life is promised to be hard, and the world is known to be cruel. So it’s always your duty to seek what happiness means to you,and make your dreams your reality.

Respectfully unapologetic,
and doesn’t that sound sexy?
You start finding cracks in every box you’ve built to contain yourself, out of fear of being truly seen. Then later, you realize those cracks, the ones that saved you from yourself, are a testament to what being free really means.

If we go back to the rule of three,
the main takeaway should be that perspective is key. The reality is, two things can be true at once.

Look left and watch your neighbour look right. I see sun, Tom sees night.
Harry is lost, and as the world turns, with the right perspective, your future can still appear bright.Toxic positivity is real,
and in fact, to be grateful in this life, you must have been through pure shite.

Rose tints and all,
at the end of the day, the day has to end.
You can’t shame the shameless.
You can’t starve the poor.
I enjoy talking to closed minds,
because now I know I can knock down some doors. Not perfect, and that’s okay.
A perfect box is a successful trap.

Being human, making human errors, that’s what ignites the process of trial and error.
And that’s where growth gets added to the chat.

Sounds like a reality you can relate to, right?
