I’ve been putting off writing a SCAB because the collection I've read so far have been witty, insightful and thought provoking (smarmy) and left me feeling a tad intimidated. But then I realised at the end of the day it's effectively 300 words about anything I fancy writing about. So, Sasha you need to man up, or woman up, if you'd prefer.

One thing I’ve noticed is that they all share a sense of fear about starting in September. Which I can’t deny I feel looming over me too. BUT I also know that next year will be AMAZING. I have been the loser that has gone to everything Honor has emailed us an invite to. I went to the ‘Hollywood’ brief days. Both of them... because I'm a loser. I helped out at the portfolio day in Leicester Square... because I'm a loser. I went to this years intake’s end of year party... also because I'm a loser. And everyone I've met so far has reassured me that SCA will be an amazing experience and hella fun, you just have to keep up those positive vibes and stay focused! A couple of the students I’ve spoken to made it clear to me how important it is not to get dragged down by the stress, to seize the opportunity and to have a good time.

There are still 45 days or 3,888,000 seconds

64,800 minutes

1080 hours

6 weeks and 3 days

12.30% of 2016

until we start the SCA adventure and that’s a lot of time to get shit done. If those figures don’t ease your mind, I also did a quick search on Pinterest for some cringe quotes, I love a cringe quote.

These were some of my favorites which I hope will provide some short-lived relief to those stressing.

‘Stop worrying about what can go wrong and get excited about what can go right’

‘Worry is a misuse of the imagination’

‘The harder you work for something, the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it’

‘A little progress each day adds up to big results’

‘Wake up with determination, go to bed with satisfaction’

‘Everything you do now is for your future’ ‘Hakuna Matata'

I apologise that you can’t see the rainbows and other really relevant images that accompanied the above quotes but I wanted my first SCAB to look serious.
