weightless. bobbing in a void. Muscles finally relaxed. eyes clamped shut. A slipstream dream.

Listening to the murmurs around me, sinking into my letting them sink into my subconscious. Flying ants landing on my skin but not for long. Gently itching the marks the leeches bites had left all over me. Hair still caked in mud. No urgency to wash it out or think about what had happened. It seemed distant now, not thinking about it was easier. Floating both in body and mind. People cannot support like water. I was lost in a way, but I wanted to be. No matter how far I away I got, water could always makes me feel at ease. I kicked my legs and drifted further away from everyone, I thought of home quickly and then remembered why I wasn’t there anymore.
