Murphy’s Law. @dune_irons

By Dune Irons

Well, you might find it odd but I wanted to use this SCAB to talk about the Murphy’s Law.

If you have no idea what it is then you might be the luckiest person in the world, for Murphy’s Law can be summarized in one little adage: Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”

Once you’ve learned about it you might have the reflex to justify every problem by quoting this epigram.

For a better understanding of how you might identify Murphy’s Law, I’ll give you an example: Today I didn’t manage my time well enough so I have ten minutes left to write a SCAB.
The question is can I do it? Most certainly, but will my computer who’s been refusing to cooperate with me for the last two weeks agree with that?

If I refer to Murphy’s Law everything will follow the path of catastrophe, problems will accumulate. You will have absolutely no control of the events whatsoever. It seems obvious that you cannot influence things you have no hold on, but you can definitely adapt the way you react to those events. Will you let yourself be discouraged? Or will you put up a fight?

Just keep in mind that “whatever can happen will happen” always. Thus the way you cope with this has a lot to do with your preparation to deal with the unexpected, your ability to adjust to any situation and your capacity to organize your time!

We’ve all learned that time is relative, in every sense of the word, the choice is yours, you could see it as an enemy, or its complete opposite.

To explain relativity A.Einstein said When you are courting a nice girl an hour seems like a second. When you sit on a red-hot cinder a second seems like an hour. That’s relativity.”

Well I think you couldn’t explain it better, it is nothing but a question of prism, to me these ten minutes, well five now are catching up with me, I could still try to run, they’ll eventually run past me…

I’m sure you’ll agree that running against time isn’t the most pleasant experience, for you already know the race is most certainly lost.

However, you can try to tame time, attempt to hold sway over it.

It isn’t an easy process, you might end up with a few scratches for time can be pretty wild when you lose focus.

I’m still in the phase where I learn how to control my time and with each project, I mostly see where I went wrong…

Again talking about relativity, you could read this SCAB as the tribulations of a fellow student on wondering how to manage time and dealing with problems piling up, or just as a “How to write a SCAB in less than 10 minutes”.

Well, I hope I didn’t lose you with my rambling rhetoric, that will be all for today I promise, just remember: “Whatever can happen will happen”.
