By combining great ideas with the power of persuasion, advertising has the ability to change the world.

The School of Communication Arts exists to nurture a diverse pool of emerging talent, and teach them to do just that - turning them into creative superstars, each with their own unique perspective. Our success at training award-winning and highly sought-after creatives over the past decade, has led to us being hailed as ‘the best ad school in the world’, with more than 80% of our students employed at leading agencies within 6 months of completing their studies.

SCA gave me a different (better) kind of education which genuinely changed my life. Since school I've worked both in the USA and UK, continued to mentor, and built some amazing relationships with some of the industry's most talented creative people.

The Course

The School of Communication Arts offers a one-year, intensive course with six months of paid placement following completion. Which means it’s delivered over 18 months. 18 months of hard work. And we make no apologies for that.

Because if hard work isn’t your thing, then you’re probably not passionate enough to make a name for yourself in the business. And passion is what we’re all about.

As challenging as the course is though, it certainly isn’t all work and no play. We do our level best to make sure our students have fun and get as much enjoyment as possible from the time they spend with us and the rest of their intake.

Being very dyslexic, traditional education never worked for me. Being at SCA opened my eyes to what education could and should be. I went from a guy with 2 A-levels to a student pencil winner who worked at Google in a year.

Application Process

We take selection very seriously. It’s important to us that we make sure it’s the right course for those who apply, we also need to be confident that our candidates are a right fit for us as the industry knows SCA graduates are the best new talent entering the industry.

The first step of the application process is to book a 15-minute call with SCA Dean, Marc Lewis. On the call you can discuss your talents and career aspirations. We will also answer any questions you have about the school, the unique learning experience and the success of past alumni within their chosen fields.

If it is a good fit you will be invited to attend one of our Selection Days so we can find out more about how you think, and work with others. You’ll join us for a whole day to immerse yourself in our world, working with other candidates on fun tasks and briefs. It’s also a great opportunity to meet our faculty and current students for an absolutely honest view of what the course is like, and have any questions you have honestly answered.

Our Selection Days run every month and we are always inspired by how inventive, passionate and unique our prospective students are.
