Marion: JK Rowling, Stanley Kubrick, Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt and JL Mélenchon

Dune: Hedy Lamarr, David Bailey, Frank Herbert and Stephen Hawking

Susan: Robert Mapplethorpe, Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn in character), Helmut Krone and Lee Miller

Clara: Kurt Cobain, Ray Charles, 2Pac, Elvis Presley and let the magic happen.

Adeline: Steve Jobs, Kendrick Lamar, Grace Jones and Michelle Obama. Great minds, great personalities, and very strong opinions.

Henry: Christopher Hitchens, Rhodes, Jean Michael Basquiat, Graham Hancock. An eclectic mix of true artists across different fields, but especially wonderful conversationalists.

Emma: Alfred Hitchcock, Jim Morrison, Andy Warhol, Hemingway
A cinematograph, a compositor, an artist and a writer. I think that if the conversation could lead to a complete new world, a completely new perception, and a beautiful inspired creation.

Gauthier: Stephen Hawking, Elon Musk, Laurence of Arabia, Sonny Rollins

Holly: Arundhati Roy, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Idris Elba and Miriam Margolyes.

Helena: Heston Blumenthal, Marcel Duchamp, Raf Simons and F.Scott Fitzgerald. All challenged culture in different ways.

Becky: Grayson Perry, Shepard Fairey, JK Rowling, Barack Obama.

Zoe: Trump and 3 members of MI6 (the top dogs obviously)

Petra: Johan Galtung (professor of peace & conflicts studies, forecasted the fall of the Soviet Union in 1980), Leonardo da Vinci (mastermind and inventor), Astrid Lindgren (beloved Swedish author and pacifist) and my grandmother (always trod her own path). I want to spend an evening with people who were and are so far ahead of their time. I want to know how they manage to keep on coming up with ideas and not give in to self-doubt when they are just so different to everyone else.

Poppy:
Helena Bonham Carter – She’s my absolute idol! I want to know what’s going on in her head, and maybe learn a bit about Tim Burton too.

Biggie Smalls – Legendary artist. I think he’d teach me about a life I don’t understand and have some interesting stuff to say about writing.

Gene Kelly – I’d just be waiting for him to take me dancing afterward.

My grandma – She was so wise and interesting to talk to, I’m sure she’d have us all captivated. In any case, she was a much better cook than me so I’d be handing over the title of head chef to her.

Gary: Charles Bukowski, Dali, Albert Camus, Wes Anderson

Eve: God, Hitler, ET, and António Guterres, I would like to see how the dinner goes, and see how they compare themselves

Sara: Kate Tempest, Maya Angelou, Vladimir Nabokov, Stephen Fry. For stellar chats and beautiful writing inspiration.

Steve:

  • Jesus Christ
  • Friedrich Nietzsche
  • Saul Bass
  • & Will Smith (who doesn’t love Will Smith)

Jem: Amelia Earhart, Jocelyn Bell Burnell, Rosalind Franklin, Emmeline Pankhurst. Really amazing female pioneers/heroes/feminists who suffered from ridiculous sexism but did fantastic work against the odds. I don’t want to be predictable but feminism yaaaas.

Melina: Hitler, Abu Bakr al- Baghdadi (the guy from ISIS), Donald Trump, Charles Manson. Probably to try and understand the difference between psycho and pure evil.

Martin: Slavoj Zizek, Robert Pfaller, Jacques Lacan and my old Professor from school Robert Schwingenschuh. Would be a lovely philosophical evening with great legends.

Eva:

Ohad Naharin (amazing dancer/ creator of gaga dance/ choreographer of the Batsheva Dance Company (I met him!!!!)), Marina Abramovic (artist), Pablo Picasso (painter/artist), Malala Yousafzai (activist for female education), Willem Frederik Hermans (Dutch writer), would be such an inspiring dinner, for all the things I am interested in. (sorry I couldn’t choose 4, there are sooo many others I still want to choose).

Rachel:

Albertine Betty Jackson: She was a German woman who was forced into the German Army in WW2 but married a man from the American Army. Her brother died in Russia. I would just love to pick her brains about what it was like being on the other side unwillingly and whether she ever found out what happened to her friends.

Johnny Edward Jackson: He was in the army and at the highest rank you could be as a black man; a cook. He went underground and married a German woman, brought her back and taught her to speak English on the boat. He started work when he was 8 to support his 11 siblings. Who wouldn’t want to talk to him?

Lena Dunham: Her television series was one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. I’d love to be able to have dinner with the type of person she appears to be.

Marylin Monroe: Who really killed you?

Alysha: Ferran Adria, Peggy Guggenheim, Oliver Sacks and Alexander McQueen (four people that epitomise my love for gastronomy, art, neuroscience/psychology and fashion). Might also throw Yotam Ottolenghi an invite – he can prepare the feast.

Helena P: Alan Turing (brilliant mathematician), brothers Nolan and Georges Méliès (because of my interest in film), Salvador Dali (extraordinary mind), Morgan Freeman (especially for his voice).

Rita: My grandad, the most influential person on the planet (whoever it is), any kind of intelligent being from out of the earth and Leonardo Da Vinci.
