Go with the flow.

Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn – Benjamin Franklin

It’s been nearly 3 weeks since we all started at SCA. We go faster and faster. The tempo. The thrills. We generate input to unleash ideas. Framing ideal conditions for Ideas. We collaborate. We communicate. We work in groups. Easy? Who said it would ever be? But we embrace it. Wholeheartedly. With passion and burning desire. The hardest part? To get to the point where universal idea reaches everyone’s thoughts and feelings. Surely an inspirational thing to come up with, a merge of simplicity in form and function, a perfecting catalyst synthesis. As enigmatic as it may sounds it is even harder to execute and invent that which is true and genuine in value. Until the result be entertaining, thought provoking but controlled.

The group work is all about unity. If that be hindered whether by social or individual factors reaching a consensus seems an elusive and formidable task. And yet how do we nurture group dynamics? Boost group’s confidence in finding that one solution acceptable for all? The answer is out there. Find the mess, define the problem and use variety of creative techniques. Stay positive, create an open space for the power of the SUN, be empathetic and let the energy shine through. Sleep tight and start over.

Projects are piling up and we need to maintain focus. Marc will surely keep us entertained till the end.

How will it all affect each and every one of us? Will the results be satisfactory?

One thing is certain. The work must flow and the creative juice will follow.

BEN? Who art thou?

Ben the Buddhist. I just love the guy. Reached 30. Riched. To be retired at 35. His goal, that is. Not a dream. To be executed like a boss. Blessed as he is with knowledge and wisdom I have only one desire. To suck his cerebrum with the help of a tiny straw like a tasty colourful sorbet I recently had in Brixton Village (awful slurping sound). Why would I do such a thing? Force is strong with him. Like with old fictional Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi in his Jedi way. What’s more, he controls the daily stuff like old uncle B. Franklin used to preach. Know him? Guess where he started? Plan… You know the rest. Ever since I have been lectured on his lifetime achievements, a certain invisible phantom entity had been hovering above my head shrieking in the places where only I could hear – Do this, do that. Organise. Train mentally and physically. Believe. Achieve. Fly like an eagle.

And who are you to me, Ben the Buddhist? A trinity called BEN-OBI-JAMIN? No matter the names. I dig him. Them. Now. I wanna be, I wanna be like Ben. Pow!

Let’s start with the basics though. Plan your fucken day. Ben, you pierced my heart with this sentence. You’ve touched the deepest and saddest catacombs of my mind. And yet not the first one to say so. I am not an ardent follower of my own faith. However, one mass I plainly remember. The shepherd had spoken of family obligations and one sheep did listen- “Do not say that you do not have the time, learn to control it” Many things changed since. Relations changed. Interpersonal and intrapersonal. My UI and UX got restructured. But the urge for hedonism lived on.

Three times the charm.

This time, I change. This time I want to say I came and tamed the ubiquitous beast. It’s time.

Till next…

Tomek
