Since a few weeks we’re all pretty busy with the d&ad briefs and as the last SCAB’s discussed how we try to win our briefs I thought it would be great to write my SCAB about another topic.
Sometimes it’s really good to leave your briefs beside and get back to a passion project to get some distance and new inspiration from your D&AD briefs.
I joined a passion project last week with a Berlin based agency called VITO BICA (www.vitobica.com).
VITO BICA describes itself as the antihero of creative agencies, the cyberpunk strategies of future brands.
It’s latest project is called “wir sind ein volk” www.wirsindeinvolk.com/en/
where creatives, designers, photographers and agencies create poster to beat racism with it’s own colours, symbols, rhetorics and messages.
“In general, Nazis or “worried citizens” (Besorgte Bürger) want everything back to how things were, because everything was better back in the good old days: No Euro, no gender-equality and of course no refugees whose fault it is that we don’t even have a regular winter anymore … You don’t have to be leftwing to realize that something really bad is happening.” – VITO BICA
We simply design nazi-like posters with twisted messages that will simply make a statement against them.
The project gets supported from big names of Berlin’s creative industry like:
