Do you happen to be subject to doubt?
Temporary loss of self-confidence, questioning, lower motivation …?
For me doubt is the number one enemy that prevents you from moving forward and you have to know how to overcome it and it arises. These periods of doubt arise during so-called « In-between » periods when you are neither quite at the beginning nor at the very end of your projects.
In fact, I am just one of those people who can question themselves quite often, even though I know what I want in life.
That’s why when it happens to me it’s a double faced feeling because i know my goals, what I want, but the doubt concerns whether I am doing the right thing to achieve them.
Although we are all humais, it is normal to feel temporary loss of motivation.
So the question we should ask ourselves is, When will I doubt myself? And whether I will be in doubt.
Moreover, no matter who we are, we will inevitably experience b moments of doubt at one time or another. And being able to be aware of this, it is already a progress to be able to fight against doubt because we have already prepared ourselves mentally so we will not be caught off guard.
So, to get back to the point. Whatever goals you set for yourself, you must have a list that pushed you to start and push to take the first step. Do not hesitate to remember the different reasons why you started!
Moreover, I try to write them because when I have a lower motivation I can more easily re-read my list and remember all that I’m doing in everyday life. I try to write everything that goes through my head and the more concise, consistent the list, the better! It allows you to be even more driven to achieve your own goals since you will relativize quickly by realizing everything that pushes you to keep fighting.
Then, we also have to remember that each of us have all accomplished a lot of things that are small things or great things that we are proud of or have made fun of, and that are quite revealing of our ways of doing things when we succeed. These are all resources we can rely on to bounce back and regain energy to invest in future projects.
But what helps above all else is your loved ones.
Often, they know more about you than you do about yourself. And can easily help you give you a boost, regain confidence in yourself and your ability to carry out your project. You are not alone in your fight, you also have your entourage who is present for you to ask for help in case you are in a moment of doubt.
Often I ask them for help because their positive wave has that much effect on me. They nurture feelings of recognition and belonging so necessary to the balance and well-being that it helps me to succeed in what I do.
And this gives a challenge to challenge as much for me as for my loved ones.
So taking action can be the most difficult, the most challenging, but also the most rewarding act. And it is the effective remedy to prevent doubt from gaining its momentum. Feeling this relentlessness that surpasses the doubt deep inside you is what is most powerful and what can make you more proud for the future.
As long as you continue to advance, you become stronger, you strengthen yourself, and you create a sort of positive reference to return to when you fight the next moments of doubt …
