Life is about decisions. Everything we do is a choice. If you decided that from now on your choices were based on what would make you happy, you wouldn’t have many regrets.
With portfolio day around the corner, it’s a really crucial time to really figure out what you want and how much you want it. Where do you want to be in 2 months? How are you spending your time? Are you really doing everything you can to get there?
Hungry people are never truly satisfied, even when they’re at the top of their game and achieving great success. Achievements are only moments in time. You don’t stop. You can’t stop. ‘It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, what matters is what you choose to do from here’. You keep going.
Most of our decisions are based on whether we choose to react or respond. We often react without thinking about whether or not it’s the best way to deal with the situation; especially during stressful times, e.g. right now.
It’s important to take a step back and make a conscious decision to respond in the best way that will be most helpful.
Even if that means ripping your portfolio a part and starting again.
Seek out the negatives and use them to your advantage. Instead of showing someone your work and asking them ‘what do you think?’ try asking them ‘what’s wrong with it?’. Sometimes the things you may not want to hear prove to be the most beneficial.
You can either react to it or learn from it.
I’ve made my choice.
