Current Apprentice - Mission Group
The delivery plan for Creative Mastery has been designed to offer huge benefits for the learner and for the employer.
How does it work?
A 22-month apprenticeship course featuring all the same frameworks and techniques, practiced at SCA for over a decade.

This degree level apprenticeship takes place on Virtual Reality and everyone that signs up will receive their own headset. This innovative approach allows you to experience a classroom setting from anywhere, making learning flexible, fun and interactive (much better than zoom or teams!)
Classes take place on the same half a day (3.5 hours) each week. With another half a day spent doing independent learning. We have designed things so that your coursework and your real work thrive together.
Course Syllabus
Month 1-5: Creative Foundations and Self-Expression
You will start by building creative fundamentals and time management skills. The curriculum covers
diverse topics like performance poetry, silent movies, and comedy, while introducing art, copy and
strategy. As the months progress, you will develop your first campaign idea by integrating the creativity
techniques learned so far
Month 6-10: Advanced Craft and Campaign Development
This period deepens the focus on campaign execution, visual thinking, and topical media opportunities.
You will refine your own campaigns exploring audio and animation techniques. Additionally, you will
learn semiotics, statistics, and language skills as you tackle more complex campaign briefs.
Month 11-15: Mastering Strategy
You will dive into more strategic areas like award-winning strategies, behavioural economics, and
partnership briefs. You will refine your craft in storyboarding, brand platforms, and advanced art direction
while working on more of your own campaigns. Career guidance and final preparations for portfolio
development start becoming key focuses.
Month 16 -22: Portfolio Development and Assessment Preparation
The final stage concentrates on portfolio building and perfecting your creative output. Mastery
workshops and portfolio reviews guide you as you complete your last own campaigns. The quarter ends
with final assessments, reflections, and preparations for entering the industry.
This structure ensures a comprehensive journey from foundational skills to professional mastery
I have found doing this alongside my actual daily job, I’ve been able to really utilise the skills I’m learning. It stays with me, stays in my head. So I can directly apply that to the work I’m doing and I’ve already noticed work improving I’m so much more confident.
