A short reflection on a long Summer.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s found themselves wondering where the Summer has gone.

The transformation from student to unemployed creative is well and truly underway.

With so many briefs revolving around myself ‘This is me’ ‘Biopic movie trailer’ ‘Who the fuck are you?’ and to some extent the ‘Alter ego’ brief – I’m now pretty sick of myself and can’t wait to get back to working with brands and people. It’s also funny that after so much soul searching, so much will change in the first few months at SCA.

I am as nervous as I am excited to get started. Marc’s medication recommendation an ominous hint at the fatigue we may face in the first few weeks.

The summer has been a productive one.

Mentoring and helping 14-18yr old students through creative briefs with Canon and 20th Century Fox has been a rewarding experience, as well as keeping me warmed up creatively.

Also very grateful for the time spent at Dare, which has sharpened my presentation and design skills.

Last night my friends and I sampled the Brixton nightlife in a big blow out celebrating my 21st, which for me marked the start of what I know will be the best year of my life to date. Cute.

Bring on Tuesday!
