10,000 Personalities

I’ve had a bunch of negative thoughts lately, which haven’t helped, so I’m going to write a positive SCAB.

Ok, to be honest this positivity is not completely random. Today (Tuesday), we had David Pearl coming to school. He talked to us about several things, but there are two main points I’d like to share with you. Not sure if that’s exactly what he wanted to say, but that’s what I got from today.

1- There is beauty in everything.

For me, it was all about being open-minded, and the power of serendipity. Lately, I have been focusing too much about working hard and getting shit done, without necessarily enjoying them. Result: complete failure.

Today, as I was wandering around Brixton Village, I let myself get lost and discovered amazing things. One, hemp milk is a thing (WOOOOOT!). Two, Brixton Village has a beautiful logo, with a mermaid, a boat and a fish. Three, I found a super cool concept store not too far from the market, with a lovely guy working there. And so on.

2- You are who you want to be.

There is no single word that can define us. We are 10,000 personalities. 10,000 people.

I haven’t seen some of the personalities I usually love for so long, and I think it’s time for me to invite them for a coffee (or chai tea latte, my fav). I have been too close to the negative ones, who bullied my positive personalities away. I admit there are values in these pessimistic personalities, the main one being that you won’t know how much you love the positive ones until you meet the darker ones. The first Zac I want to invite is my dear hyperactive crazy boy. God I missed you.

So yeah, enjoy wandering around, take your time and be open-minded. Also, if you don’t like who you are right now, just call in your other selves.
